My rating is for DHL and it's shockingly poor customer service. I got basically no advance notice that they were trying to deliver a package I was expecting at my home, so was not home for delivery. On Aug. 1, the day after they claimed they tried to deliver it, I rescheduled it for be delivered on Aug. 4 and got confirmation by email that it was rescheduled. On Aug. 4 I got a notice that it was out for delivery for Aug. 5, then a notice it would be delayed to Aug. 6 and then another notice today saying it would might be delivered Aug. 7. i finally found a phone number for DHL and got a recorded message saying the call might be recorded, which is kind of funny as there is no way to actually talk to a human being adn the tracking service is a joke as they clearly load these deliveries guys up with more packages they can possibly deliver and really have no idea when your package will arrive. I called the number on the google listing for this DHL depot, only to be told I'd be charged 7p a minute for the call plus my phone company's service charges only to listen to lengthy recordings and once again being transferred back to the other number where you can't talk to anyone. I know the companies doing the shipping can actually speak to them, but it seems there policy is they expect you to stay home 24/7 for more than a week in the hopes that they actually show up with your package. I will likely cancel my subscription to Virgin Wines unless they can get a reliable courier that has a modicum of interest and respect for us poor souls who rely on a delivery company to actually deliver packages

What happens if no one is available to receive my parcel?
If there is no one available to accept the parcel, our DHL Express courier will usually leave a calling card at the address informing the receiver that they have tried to deliver a parcel. The receiver can then either collect the parcel from their local DHL Express Service Point or arrange another delivery. If they arrange another delivery, this can be to an alternative address. Just search on Google for "DHL Express On Demand Delivery" and enter the parcel tracking number.
