After two years of being treated poorly by a staff member who works there every day, I decided to give this place another chance. She was there again, and as usual, she was rude to customers and dismissive toward everyone around her.
Once again, when I showed my QR code to collect my parcel, she told me I had already used it. As I was about to leave empty-handed, I spotted my parcel sitting in a box on the floor. When I pointed this out to her, she didn’t apologize — instead, she accused me of providing the wrong QR code.
As I left, I calmly told her she had been unkind. Her response was to warn me that she would refuse to serve me the next time I came in.

This is my local post office and very annoyingly they like to close earlier than the closing times stated on the Royal Mail website and on Google. This has happened several times. I’m posting a timestamp. I actually arrived at 5:23 but was waiting for people at the cashpoint to move so I could take this image which you can see at 5:26.

I’ve been coming to this post office for years and I think it’s great. The staff are always prompt and polite, and.. mad idea here.. if you smile and are friendly you’ll likely get the same in return. If you’re impatient or sour-faced what do you expect?
The service has been great throughout, no missing post, and free returns are dealt with professionally and patiently.
A nice story that led to this review: I’d accidentally left my headphones at the counter but could see they were still at that location (after it had closed). When I returned in the morning they’d been found by the staff - one on the counter one on the floor - and carefully bagged up and held behind the counter. Thanks for being so considerate!
One small negative is that the premises looks very tired and poorly maintained, a shame as otherwise this would be the post office from heaven.

Post office is closed during lunch hours 1-2pm. Absolutely nightmare with the public require services during this time, clearly very understaffed and disorganized. I arrived at 12:45 once and door was already locked and I was turned away. Really need to sort out staffing to be open during the busiest time of the day
