I’m really disappointed with my local post office. I went there at 5 pm, which is still 30 minutes before closing time, but the gentleman refused to accept my parcel. He wouldn’t even let me drop it off. He said he couldn’t keep the parcel “inside his area,” even though that area is supposed to be the post office.
To explain: the outside is a fruit and veg shop, inside is like a stationery or convenience store selling toys and drinks. He also told me he couldn’t leave the parcel anywhere else because it wouldn’t be safe. Outside his counter, where he works and where that only is the Post Office. But if the whole shop closes at 5:30, does that mean only the small counter area is considered the “post office” and the rest isn’t?
A post office should function like a proper post office, not like one of these modern all‑in‑one shops you see everywhere in East Ham—veg shop, stationery, phone shop all mixed together. So where exactly is the real post office supposed to be on Church Road, E12?

This post office seems as if though it's never open! Says it's open on the website ( I always check as I've been there many times before and it's been closed). You can guess it was closed again. The service has always been good, however I'd have better feedback if I could actually send my post here. Please be more reliable, the local people need you!

Google says it is open. Just walked up to it and it is closed. Need to update timings because of covid-19. What a waste of time.
