Instead, they just told me to pay without telling me what I was getting. After paying, I realized I was charged for Special Delivery Next Day 1pm. This was completely unnecessary as it would arrive on a Saturday when the recipient is closed. I ended up paying more than double for a service I did not need. Staff should fulfill their consumer duties by explaining options clearly so customers can make informed choices. Very disappointed with this lack of transparency. Make sure you check the Royal Mail website for the services before you go into any post offices!
