- AGANDREAS GIESCHEN1 day ago1.0I visited this Post Office today in order to use their Digital Check & Send Passport Renewal service, arriving at a quiet time between 9 and 10am. First impression was not good, the post office area appeared cluttered & untidy. A young male member of staff appeared available at one of the counters but was occupied texting on his mobile phone and walked away when he glanced up and saw me. I was then seen by his female colleague on the next counter. She asked me to wait on a chair until her colleague with passport renewal training appeared. About 5 min later the same previously distracted male colleague re-appeared putting his phone away. He said he was going to handle my renewal. I presented my documents, incl. copies of my 2nd passport (German) as instructed by the passport office website. The young man did not know what to do. He phoned his supervisor - he did not know either. He then said, he could not help me with this application. He looked completely blank and out of his depth. I left the post office and went to Hampstead Post Office, 2 tube stops away, instead. What a difference. The first impression was excellent, tidy & serene by comparison. Staff were welcoming, acknowledging arriving customers. My digital passport renewal was handled by a competent member of staff. The process took less than 10 minutes, including checking my German passport copies and taking a digital passport picture. I received an acknowledgement of receipt of my application by e-mail within minutes. Comparing my two experiences this morning, I think that Camden Town Post Office has a serious problem with staff attitude and training.

- ANAdam NightingaleAug 5, 20261.0Paryih fraudulently overcharged me for document certification. I was told the charge for 6 documents would be £25.5 and in the end I was charged £102! She stamped every page of the bank statement and then lied by saying she had told me the cost before beginning. Her colleague, who quoted me the correct price, looked ashamed and silent but said nothing. Fraudulent and bad behaviour that I will be escalating. Don’t trust their document certification services!
