Arrived at the Post Office just before 2pm. The lady at the counter was serving other customers, but when she finished and I approached her, she told me she wouldn’t serve me as she was going on her break.
I then noticed a sign saying that the Post Office counter closes between 2pm and 3pm.
I completely appreciate that staff need and are entitled to take their breaks. What I find surprising is that a fully functioning Post Office has no one available to cover a member of staff’s break, meaning the entire counter has to close for an hour in the middle of the day.
Surely appropriate cover should be arranged so that customers can continue to access Post Office services during the advertised opening hours, rather than the service shutting down completely because one member of staff is on a break.
It was also particularly frustrating that I had arrived before 2pm and waited while other customers were being served, only to be turned away when it was my turn.
This seems much more like a staffing and management issue than an issue with an individual employee taking their entitled break, but it resulted in a very disappointing customer experience.

Woman behind the counter is just plain rude. Beware, she will close the counter 10 mins early, ignore you and kiss her teeth. Disgusting

I think I’ve discovered the worst post office in the universe. Rude, ignorant and disinterested.

Be prepared to be met with staff at the counter with awful body language, rude mannerism and a tone that says you the customer are bothering them. I’ve been here 4 times to return something and the last three times have been a terrible experience due to the women at the counter and how they spoke with me, one time one snapped at me for not placing the parcel at the correct spot. I nearly caused a scene but thankfully I kept my cool. Avoid at all cost
