How do I deposit a cheque at Post Office?

To deposit a cheque, you’ll need to bring the following to your nearest branch: *The cheque *A completed deposit slip from your bank, if applicable. Please contact your bank to request paying-in slips as these are not held in Post Office branches *A cheque deposit envelope for your bank (these are available from your own bank or the majority are stocked in Post Office branches) Please do not enclose cash. Full instructions can be found on the cheque deposit envelope. Simply hand over your sealed cheque deposit envelope to the Post Office who will provide you with a receipt for your cheque deposit envelope.

Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?

If you’ve registered for the Change Giving service, you shouldn’t be refused change at your nominated Post Office branch. You may have been refused if you’re not signed up to this service. If you’d like to do so, contact your bank directly to find out whether they offer the service and how to sign up. If you’ve signed up but aren’t using your nominated branch, it’s at that branch’s discretion whether they have enough change available to fulfil your request. The 'lady' working in this Post office is very, very rude, so is the rest of the staff. If you are a little bit older, they don't care and hurry you on in a nasty horrible way. There is no patience or feeling for the customer. I felt almost ill when finished posting my items today and will never go there again If there was an agency where I could take this further, I would! If anyone knows of where I could make a proper complaint, please let me know.

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! - 10 stars The post office lady was lucky I kept calm and kind because she was rude, condescending, and deliberately slow, creating an unnecessary runaround over a straightforward transaction by insisting I had information wrong when I didn't, talking down to me as though I were incompetent AND then became noticeably meaner, more hostile, and aggressively vindictive the moment she realised her own error and that the process was far simpler than she'd made it. Her classless, deliberately NASTY passive aggressive and weird reaction to being proven wrong, coupled with the overwhelming pattern of identical behaviour toward all customers documented in reviews, reveals this wasn't just poor service, they don't care about their deliberately anti-social and disgusting hostility masquerading as work.

The staff behind the counter there are really unpleasant. There is a cheerful and helpful man at the first counter at the entrance of the shop but sadly he cannot deal with everything so at some point you have to deal with the monsters at the back.

The woman working at the counter of this post shop is extremely rude and impatient. I was sending a package overseas and she was not helpful or kind at all. Even though I was polite the entire interaction, for no reason at all, she was not, Customer service skills were poor and I would not use this post office again.
