Very disappointing experience today. The queues were long, with only two counters open, and one counter closed after 15–20 minutes, making the wait even longer.
When I finally reached the counter for my identity verification, I was incorrectly told that I needed a bank statement with a bank stamp, despite this not being listed in the government guidance. The staff member insisted it was required, so I had to make an unnecessary trip to the bank and then return. The person who misguided me was a Asian slightly blonde woman in her middle age.
When I came back, a different staff member processed my application immediately and only asked for my passport, exactly as stated in the official guidance.
The misinformation from the first staff member wasted a lot of my time and caused unnecessary stress. Staff should be properly trained on the requirements before advising customers.
