  After reading some of the reviews, I genuinely think a lot of the criticism is unfair. I’ve used this branch several times and my experience has always been positive. The staff take the time to explain the different postage options available rather than simply selling the cheapest service and sending you on your way. Some people seem to interpret that as “upselling”, but there is a big difference between offering a more secure, tracked or insured service and forcing someone to buy something they don’t need. If you’re sending important documents, valuable items, or parcels that you don’t want to worry about, being told about the safer options is actually good customer service. I’d much rather have a member of staff explain the available services than find out later that my parcel has gone missing and I wasn’t adequately covered. People also need to remember that Post Office staff cannot know what is inside every parcel or how important it is to the sender. Their job is to explain the options and let the customer decide. That isn’t a scam, it’s exactly what they should be doing. Every time I’ve visited, the staff have been professional, patient and helpful despite often dealing with long queues and customers who are already frustrated before reaching the counter. Running a busy branch is not easy, and I think the team deserve far more credit than some of these reviews suggest. For me, the service has always been efficient, knowledgeable and reliable. I would happily use this branch again.

  I’ve been using Preston Road Post Office for a while now and the service has always been excellent. One of the ladies there used to work in Sudbury, so it was nice seeing a familiar face, and she’s always been very helpful and welcoming. I also met Ven for the first time last week Saturday and he was extremely helpful as well. The staff here really make you feel comfortable and valued. It’s the kind of place where, once you build a relationship with the team, it almost feels like home. Their knowledge and experience are excellent, so whenever you need advice or help with something, they always know what they’re doing. They also offer a wide range of products and services, and the opening hours are very convenient. A genuinely friendly and reliable local post office. Highly recommended.

  They try their best to help you expecially the staff. If you need help with sending a document or completing it they will help you and explain to you what is needed. They are all amazing.
