If we could give less than 1 star we would. Incredibly rude. Ignorant. Unhelpful. worst post office experience ever.

Today, I had a very bad experience with the very rude man that works in this post office. I knew about the bad reviews, regarding the very bad attitude shown to some customers. I initially thought that his terrible behaviour was only towards female customers, but I was wrong. I took a picture of a package I was sending through Evri, and as soon I did it, he erupted in rage, telling me that taking pictures inside the post office is not allowed, pointing his finger to the sign at the counter. I apologised and if he had asked me to delete the picture, I would have done it immediately. But he was not accepting my apologies and started calling me offensive names. I never had a bad attitude towards his behaviour, always being polite to him, but he was having none of it, and asking me to never return there. That is very sad behaviour for someone who has to deal with customers on a daily base. I am a foreigner in this country, like him, but I respect everyone independently where they come from, but this person is one of the reasons, people's opinions are shifting to more radical parties in the political spectrum. Don't surprise me that more and more people ate getting bad opinions towards more foreigners coming to the UK.
I hope that deep inside, he feels bad for his bad temper when he gets home and thinks about it.

I have lived in Hampton for almost 20 years and I have always been aware of the multiple complaints about the behaviour of the man working there. However, I have never been on the receiving end of it until today.
I brought a parcel to return to the sender. I had an email with me, which was supposed to contain the QR code I asked for using British Mail online account before my visit. Unaware of the error in the email, which said that the QR code was included in the attachment, I opened the attachment without looking and asked the man at the post office if he could scan it so I could post the parcel I brought with me. He replied angrily that that was not a QR code and that I should have printed this attachment at home. I was confused so I only asked if he was sure of that as I asked the Royal Mail to send me the QR code because I had no printer at home. I was genuinely confused and I didn't realise that the attachment was just a parcel label. I was just hoping the man will be able to help me.
Instead of helping, the man started shouting at me and called me a "thick woman". He got offended that I asked him if he was sure I could not use the attachment to send the parcel. His tone of voice was very aggressive and loud. So I asked him to stop shouting at me for no reason other than asking him for help and I said he was behaving in a very rude way. He asked me to "go home" because he could not accept the parcel without to the QR code and he also claimed that he couldn't print my label. So I turned around and went outside where I thought what to do next.
When I was outside, I read the email more carefully again and I finally realized that the QR code was not in the attachment but at the end of the email. So I went inside the post office to try to send the parcel again. This was my mistake.
When I approached the counter, the same man said he would not serve me unless I apologise to him for "not believing him he knew better". This was a ridiculous demand so I simply answered that I had nothing to apologise for because I just asked him a question if he was sure I didn't have the right code without realising it wasn't a code but I was never rude to him when it was actually him who was aggressive and rude from the very beginning. When he heard I wouldn't be apologising, he got completely mad and he called me a "thick woman" multiple times and said I had to leave "his post office and never come again". He charged aggressively towards me from behind the counter so I left as I didn't want my mum, who has Alzheimer's and who was waiting for me outside, to get scared someone is attacking me. This man was completely out of control for no reason at all and I think he needs help with his mental health.
I have no intention to ever go to this branch again until he is there. He is definitely a rude bully and a misogynistic boor.
