How do I deposit a cheque at Post Office?

To deposit a cheque, you’ll need to bring the following to your nearest branch: *The cheque *A completed deposit slip from your bank, if applicable. Please contact your bank to request paying-in slips as these are not held in Post Office branches *A cheque deposit envelope for your bank (these are available from your own bank or the majority are stocked in Post Office branches) Please do not enclose cash. Full instructions can be found on the cheque deposit envelope. Simply hand over your sealed cheque deposit envelope to the Post Office who will provide you with a receipt for your cheque deposit envelope.

Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?

If you’ve registered for the Change Giving service, you shouldn’t be refused change at your nominated Post Office branch. You may have been refused if you’re not signed up to this service. If you’d like to do so, contact your bank directly to find out whether they offer the service and how to sign up. If you’ve signed up but aren’t using your nominated branch, it’s at that branch’s discretion whether they have enough change available to fulfil your request. Great Local Post Office Services, Banking, as a standalone service and also same services offered within store when the Post Office desks are closed. Friendly knowledgeable staff, and located in a well stocked Spar Store.

Absolutely shocking service and staff are rude and cocky! Post office states 8am open it’s not open at all! They’re telling me 9am when it states on the door 8am and google. I was told to go to the small counter by the rude staff member after waiting 10 minutes at the post office area to be then told sorry we cant do amazon collect only from the bigger area come back at 9am! I will never be going there again your staff are appalling the way they treat people sly replies and just utter rude Look at the reviews you have I'm surprised you’re still open This is not the first time neither last time I had an issue there too ! If i could give a 0 star rating I would of, as they don't even deserve a 1 Rude horrible bitchy staff need sacking if you ask me I'm sure most people would agree

The post office wasn’t open, so had to go to the SPAR counter the guy serving didn’t know the difference between tracked 24 and 48. He typed in the wrong address despite it being VERY clear on the envelope! So my very important parcel that I needed delivering within 4 days actually took 2.5 weeks to be delivered. Luckily I had written the correct address on the envelope, but it went back and forth between the mail centre for the written address and the incorrect mail centre for the tracking address for ages. But when I spoke to the actual post office the day it was supposed to arrive they said they couldn’t do anything about it! The two ladies on the windows were lovely but the third lady who came through from the back was so rude about it! She said I should’ve paid for special delivery (naively I didn’t even know that was an option) but paying for tracking should be enough! She said she couldn’t even give me a letter or email explaining that they messed up the postcode-despite it being my large flat deposit on the line! Anyway, lesson learned: if you want something posting even if it’s 2hrs away DO IT YOURSELF 😂.
