Had the knowledge and expertise the other local post office didn’t have. Took my pre-paid parcel without hesitation and gave me a receipt all within 2 minutes.

I had a very frustrating experience trying to renew my driving licence at the Royal Mail/Post Office in Leicester city centre. I visited four separate times before 4pm, only to be turned away repeatedly. On two occasions, I was told they couldn’t take any more customers because staff finish at 4pm. I returned the next day, only to be told their iPad system was down.
On my fourth visit, a staff member advised me to come back on Sunday (5th April) before 2pm. I followed this instruction, only to find the branch closed due to Easter Sunday. This was extremely disappointing and felt like I was being given incorrect information rather than proper assistance.
Overall, the service was poor, unhelpful, and a complete waste of time. Staff need to do better at their jobs instead of giving misleading information

Wow!!! thankfully I do not use gallowtree gate PO very often, unfortunately over a period of two weeks i have had to go in three times, what an awful P.O service, the staffs dreadful attitude, Zero customer service skills are obvious...not one nice member of staff work behind the counter and judging by others reviews im not alone in my disgust for these women....where is the Management input??..both asian and white members of staff clearly treat every customers equally with a level of contempt.....Not a good morning, a thank you ...nothing . They're deliberately unhelpful and obstuctive it's a toxic atmosphere.
After standing watching in the queue each time Ive approched the counter braced for my hostile customer service P.O worker who ive greeted with a"Good morning" I was looked through and barked at....i asked her if there a reason she was unable to smile and say "Good morning" she told me "I'm tired...and I'm not paid enough to be nice to customers!!!.
Shocked I've hurried through my business and left, i will not never now to return. EVER....
Im disgusted by the rudeness and the bad attitiude of these women.
So many folks who would love a job working in a busy city centre PO and would have amazing customer service skills who would provide a decent service and this is what we are given.
How the PO has allowed this service to be the norm is inexcusable and it clearly is from the other customer reviews ...it's sad to remember the days gone when to work at a P.O was a highly sort after post and postal staff were respected and rightly so....these women will destroy thi P.O, im guessing like many other stores and services the customers will go elsewhere to find friendlier staff and this P.O will hopefully close its service asap..
Why the manager would allow this abrupt and vile service to continue is question i cant answer.
