This used to be a really reliable local post office until they changed ownership around two years ago. The new owners are rude, lack any form of customer service training, try to serve multiple customers at the same time which resulted in them failing to fill out a required customs declaration for sending a parcel to Germany. Hopefully they get some help and training as a matter of urgency to stop causing an inconvenience to their customers. I will probably not use them again

I was asked to open two Amazon parcels that were fully sealed without a clear explanation during a return process, so I chose to leave

I went in last week to post three parcels, all shop returns. After scanning all three, I was advised to leave all three parcels at the side and given a receipt. Upon checking the receipt only 2/3 parcels were showing. So I raised this and he falsely claimed it was the largest parcel not yet tracked. I checked myself all three parcels and confirmed which tracking number was missing. He re-scanned the pre printed postage label on the box and this time needed to know destination postcode and first line of address. Once inputted my receipt as proof of postage was given. A little shocked immediately after me was a young lady anxious that her parcel posted at the post office was missing and that was its last known destination. Now I am in the same situation as 2/3 of my posted parcels are still showing at the post office but ofc they are not there. Certainly all very odd!

I called this branch on the morning of 16/04/26 at around 10:57am to ask about a parcel I had dropped off the previous day. I was left on hold for around 10 minutes while in-store customers were being served, which I understand can happen, but there was no update or communication.
When I called back and provided my address, the staff member responded abruptly with “It’s not here” in an aggressive tone and ended the call without any basic courtesy such as a thank you or goodbye.
From my experience, standard in-person transactions are usually fine, but when it comes to anything outside of a routine request, such as asking for help locating a parcel to correct a label issue, the response can be dismissive and unhelpful.
I appreciate staff can be busy, but basic telephone etiquette and respectful communication should still be maintained.
