How do I deposit a cheque at Post Office?

To deposit a cheque, you’ll need to bring the following to your nearest branch: *The cheque *A completed deposit slip from your bank, if applicable. Please contact your bank to request paying-in slips as these are not held in Post Office branches *A cheque deposit envelope for your bank (these are available from your own bank or the majority are stocked in Post Office branches) Please do not enclose cash. Full instructions can be found on the cheque deposit envelope. Simply hand over your sealed cheque deposit envelope to the Post Office who will provide you with a receipt for your cheque deposit envelope.

Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?

If you’ve registered for the Change Giving service, you shouldn’t be refused change at your nominated Post Office branch. You may have been refused if you’re not signed up to this service. If you’d like to do so, contact your bank directly to find out whether they offer the service and how to sign up. If you’ve signed up but aren’t using your nominated branch, it’s at that branch’s discretion whether they have enough change available to fulfil your request. The bearded asian guy with light grey eyes at the counter is quite rude and unfriendly. No customer service or basic greet. I felt like I was speaking to a robot, but without any expression. It seems like there has been a change of staff which is unfortunate because previous staff were approachable. The female staff was friendly, perhaps he needs to learn some manners from her.

Worst customer service from the Asian Male staff serving at the counter who has a black beard, light grey/green eyes. It looks like a change of staff as the previous staff were so much better and friendly. I've seen this guy wondering around doing nothing a few times and as I approached him he had no manners, no respect whatsoever, just plain rude. As i approached him there was no communication from him, just silent and staring with an expressionless face. He couldn't even speak clearly and loud enough so that customers could hear beyond the glass barrier. He couldn't even scan the parcel properly, just being really rude and unfriendly when instructing me. He must be a relative of the owner otherwise there is no way he would get a role in customer service. The lady working there was friendly, he needs to learn some basic manners from her! Avoid!

Excellent service every time I visit Uppingham Road Post Office. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. They deal with everything efficiently, whether it's posting parcels, banking, or other services. The branch is well organised, and I've never had any issues. It's great to have such a reliable and professional local post office. Highly recommended!

I would not recommend this post office due to the two rude Indian male staff working here. I have visited a few times to send parcels and each time they make unecessary silly comments or weird questions about the parcel as if I don't know my stuff. I have been selling for years and have knowledge of how it works, on the other hand I question whether they both have any training in providing basic customer service. If I find another local post office then I will go there, the staff here are surely off putting.
