- SRSarah RichardsonFeb 25, 20253.0I needed to update my passport and thought I'd use the check and send. The website was poor for saying whether an appointment would be required however when I popped in they said they needed an appointment, so I made one. When I went for my appointment they didn't even seem to matter as I was dealt with in the same manner as a queuing customer. The post office clerk was lovely but the passport photo was taken in a dimly lit corner with an iPad. They did say when they took it, if it wasn't approved I could pop in again and have it retaken for free. Low and behold the passport office rejected the photo. Rather than go in again I just decided to go a photobooth. I can't fault the staff they were really pleasant on both occasions and very professional, but the appointment process and the sub standard way of taking photos is poor.
