I had a very unpleasant experience at Headingley Post Office today. I took a small folding e-bike inside, having done so on two previous occasions without being told this wasn't permitted, and I couldn't see any signage outside saying bikes were prohibited. I have absolutely no issue with being told that I couldn't bring the bike in and would simply have taken it outside.
What I do object to is the way the situation was handled. A security guard told me he would "throw me out", which I found completely unnecessary and intimidating. When I challenged those words, a member of staff behind the Post Office counter became confrontational and insisted the guard hadn't threatened me, despite me having just heard what was said. (The same Irish guy others view as confrontational and rude)
A simple, polite "Sorry, bikes aren't allowed inside" would have resolved the whole situation in seconds. Instead, I left feeling extremely angry. I've made a formal complaint to Leeds City Council and requested the relevant CCTV so that the incident can be properly reviewed. Very disappointing.

I visited the post office parcel collection and drop-off area to ask a simple question, where I could get a printout done, since I'd never been to reception and didn't know where it was. The staff member (older, wears glasses) responded dismissively, saying "why are you asking me, go ask over there," without any attempt to point me in the right direction.
This came across as poor customer service. A basic query like this should be met with at least a helpful gesture or direction, not attitude. I'd expect front-line staff to be a bit more approachable, especially with customers who are unfamiliar with the layout.
Do better, if you don't like your job, quit mate. Don't make it worse for your customers and your other colleagues and workplace. Thank you
I see many comments on this same person, from months and years ago, don't know why he's still employed with you guys

I received excellent service from the male member of staff in a Leeds United shirt. He was friendly and very helpfully directed me to a nearby post box which would allow my letter to arrive sooner. Thank you for a great experience.
Friendly and helpful.
