I visited the Cross Gates branch on 10/08/2026, just before 4pm, and unfortunately my experience with Denise on the counter was extremely unpleasant.
I needed to send some very important documents off, I approached the counter, I found Denise to be extremely rude and passive-aggressive in the way she spoke to me. Her manner was completely abrupt and I was made to feel very uncomfortable especially while with my newborn baby.
I was so taken aback by the way I was being spoken to that I actually asked why she was speaking to me in that manner. She replied, “What way?” I explained that she was coming across as very passive-aggressive and that I no longer wanted to be served by her.
I come into this branch regularly and I dread to be served by this member of staff because she is extremely rude to me on every SINGLE visit, and unfortunately I have come across this on more than one occasion from her, every other member of staff I come across here is pleasant apart from this member of staff. I work in customer service myself and I wouldn’t dream of speaking anyone this way & manner.
Thankfully, Jolene, took me into the office. She dealt with everything professionally and efficiently and made the whole process straightforward. Jolene was absolutely brilliant and I really appreciate her lovely customer service when I visit the branch.

I had such a great experience at the Crossgates Post Office. The team went above and beyond to help me with all the information I needed and guided me through the entire process with patience and professionalism.
A special thank you to Joelene, Sarah, Sarah, and Keyleigh (apologies if I’ve misspelled your name!). Every one of them was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and happy to help, which made everything so much easier.
It’s rare to come across customer service like this these days. Thank you all for your kindness and excellent support, I truly appreciate it and would highly recommend this branch!

I was just at the hole in the wall, two ladies coming out, they work there, they locking up, I politely asked if they had the time, one of them looked at me rude whilst saying yeh I do, but wouldn't givee the time, I said what's the time then. Usually when a human being asks have you got the time and you say yes, usually you would give the person the time without the other person saying well what's the time then.

The employees at the Post Office are lovely and patient, however I went to the post office today and was speaking to an older employee called Denise. She was honestly very rude and belittling. We stayed respectful and polite throughout the whole conversation; however, her mannerisms and tone were impolite.

Was served by someone called Denise unfortunately the service provided was absolutely terrible she made my experience there so uncomfortable and she was poorly mannered, my experience there the that post office is genuinely great majority of the time but for some reason her attitude was appalling, I almost felt belittled speaking to her and she was giving this feeling that she was obligated to be there, I do hope this gets looked into.
