- JBJon BriestSep 27, 20265.0The Heptonstall Post Office is much more than a post office. For such a small village, it stocks an amazing range of essentials, local produce and fantastic breads and patisseries on a Tuesday and Friday from Roger's Bakery. My daughter rates the cinnamon buns as the best she's ever tasted and she's not wrong. The shop stocks great local salads, charcuterie, cheeses, as well as every day essentials - salt, tea, bleach, loo roll, hot chocolate. At the heart of the shop is Tim, the postmaster. He's always friendly, patient and helpful, whether managing busy queues, training volunteers, chatting to customers or advising visitors on local walks. Quite often I come into find Tim singing whilst he works - which he thinks is nothing special - but I think is quite remarkable. The post office is a wonderful community hub, a real village lifeline, and an asset to Heptonstall. Highly recommended.

We use the post office function often for sending post and receiving parcels. They have a great range of cards for last minute family birthdays and although we have yet to utilise it - currency for holidays. The staff are exceedingly friendly and helpful and help ensure that the post office is a great community resource.

You can buy all sorts of items from the necessities to locally baked pastries and greetings cards made by local artists. Post Master Tim is always friendly and knowledgeable and the volunteers do a great job too.
