Not open on a Sunday as claimed on both google and the post office website. Shop open but the person behind the counter said the post office bit was closed. Why?

Glad they took over from the post office closing down, much easier to access especially with it being open late and not just standard working hours. Typical corner shop and mostly friendly staff.

Been using this post office and convenience shop for approx 10 years but no more after today.
I had a parcel to post today and was told by the lady behind the counter that it was best to send special delivery.
I queried this advising last time I posted a £550 item it got lost and was told that I couldn't be refunded the costs as I didn't have the receipt for the original purchase of the item so was it worth paying the extra given this.
I was rudely told well that's your fault for not keeping the receipt isn't it in a very patronising manner.
I thought ok but things do get lost over time etc and stated I am just explaining what happened and advised her there was no need to be so curt towards me.
The lady then proceeded to slam my item down and stated I could go elsewhere and when I advised I didn't want to and just wanted it posted she refused.
Ok no bother I won't be using you EVER again for anything and you have lost a customer of 10 years due to your rude demeanor.
