I'm reluctant to give 1 star really. The first time I visited this post office I was sending a parcel to Switzerland and I had to fill a customs label in, but realised I hadn't brought my glasses with me, I asked if he could help me fill it in and he said NO I was shocked, he then told me to go to Liverpool Road branch which I did. The liverpool road branch were so helpful, it puts him to shame, and so nice there.the service was Awful l Unfortunately I had to go again afew months later as my husband had already nominated this branch to return a amazon product, on the Internet, I was reluctant but decided to give it another go as thought he'd had an off day.I passed the product through the glass and straight away he said its 2 products, which I replied no just 1 parcel with 2 products in the parcel, to which he replied, no has to be 2 separate parcels, this went on for a few mins, then he lifted the glass and put it back on the scales for me to collect, after much discussion i wasn't getting anywere with him.I then told him his customer service was awful and wasn't at all helpful, then he shouted he had cameras,I told him I wasn't the rude one, I stated that he was very rude, and needed a few lessons in customer service. I will definitely not be giving him my custom again at this branch.

1 star as I couldn’t give zero stars!! No bread on a Monday? What is the point of this shop now? No service at all even after waiting over 5 mins…it’s laughable. That new shop in the village should have gone on square lane as the residents around there deserve better than this poor excuse for convenience store.

As a young girl I always used to go the post office with my mum and were welcomed by the lovely couple who have now retired. They used to give treats to my dog so when I decided to return my parcel today I thought it would be nice to take a visit. I walked in as I usually do (maybe I missed a no dog sign idk) and was told no dogs allowed. We were halfway through the shop at this point but I apologised and explained she used to be allowed in. I went outside to find somewhere to tie her up. There was nowhere. The road the post office is on is busy and has pot holes so there are always cars that swerve etc so it was not safe to leave her there freely. Although she’s a well behaved dog I was not going to take the risk. I popped my head back in to ask where I could put her. The man didn’t move or bother to open the window to speak to me instead he pointed to outside. I looked again and there was nothing. I popped my head back in for a final time showed him my parcel and said I can’t just leave her on the road there is nowhere to tie her up and he didn’t even flinch. No customer service or effort whatsoever. Safe to say I won’t be returning again I am completely shocked by the lack of interest in helping me and the lack of consideration to people with dogs, especially when the previous owners were so kind and thoughtful. *updated since the owners response 10.08.26 You have completely missed the point of the review. My issue is not with the no dogs policy but of the attitude of the staff and lack of customer service I experienced when trying to adhere and respect your policy which resulted in you losing business.
