As a young girl I always used to go the post office with my mum and were welcomed by the lovely couple who have now retired. They used to give treats to my dog so when I decided to return my parcel today I thought it would be nice to take a visit. I walked in as I usually do (maybe I missed a no dog sign idk) and was told no dogs allowed. We were halfway through the shop at this point but I apologised and explained she used to be allowed in. I went outside to find somewhere to tie her up. There was nowhere. The road the post office is on is busy and has pot holes so there are always cars that swerve etc so it was not safe to leave her there freely. Although she’s a well behaved dog I was not going to take the risk. I popped my head back in to ask where I could put her. The man didn’t move or bother to open the window to speak to me instead he pointed to outside. I looked again and there was nothing. I popped my head back in for a final time showed him my parcel and said I can’t just leave her on the road there is nowhere to tie her up and he didn’t even flinch. No customer service or effort whatsoever. Safe to say I won’t be returning again I am completely shocked by the lack of interest in helping me and the lack of consideration to people with dogs, especially when the previous owners were so kind and thoughtful.

Agree with previous review by Bex manor, post office was previously run by couple who have since retired but ran for many many years. I only occasionally visit to buy stamps, special delivery post etc and on every occasion they attempt to sell another service which is more expensive. Not surprised the shop is always empty as they don't come across well in my opinion and the customer service isn't there. This might work for a post office in the middle of a large city but not one in the community. Don't think it will be long before it closes.

Useless. I would give less stars if I was allowed
