It used to be an excellent post office for years, but service quality has plummeted since Morrisons took over this shop. Operations are erratic: staff aren't trained, the branch has faced long closures, and after opening for a short while, they worked only a few days a week with no way to predict which ones. Then they decided to start closing at 3:00 PM, and now they are closed because there is no trained staff, promising to reopen "maybe on Wednesday." You never know for sure if the post office will be open, as the staff have no training and aren't authorized to post anything. The store seems to have a poor manager: staff keep changing, new hires aren't trained, and they can't even organize a schedule that ensures a qualified worker is always on duty. You don't need a university degree for this job, but for six months they’ve failed to train staff or get the post office running smoothly. My advice: just go to a different post office. The opening hours listed for the Post Office are incorrect and do not reflect reality.

The post office was closed again when I went at 7.30pm even though it advertises until 10pm. I think they change the hours to suit themselves ….

I’ve recently changed to using this post office after being fed up with the poor service and miserable staff at my closest post office. I’m glad I did, staff are super friendly and helpful, plenty of parking and opening times are longer, I can now post items on a Sunday!. I’ll be sticking with this one from now on.
