How do I deposit a cheque at Post Office?

To deposit a cheque, you’ll need to bring the following to your nearest branch: *The cheque *A completed deposit slip from your bank, if applicable. Please contact your bank to request paying-in slips as these are not held in Post Office branches *A cheque deposit envelope for your bank (these are available from your own bank or the majority are stocked in Post Office branches) Please do not enclose cash. Full instructions can be found on the cheque deposit envelope. Simply hand over your sealed cheque deposit envelope to the Post Office who will provide you with a receipt for your cheque deposit envelope.

Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?

This post office is disgraceful, I only use as a last resort as every time I go you are treated with complete disrespect and arrogance. I went in to use the parcel service. I entered the shop which was busy and my boxes were large, so I stood to the side of the queue, as the isle are cramped together, a young girl behind the counter shouted over whilst pointing, join the queue, like I’m in a school canteen and I’m 4 years old. I politely explained the boxes are large and she then agreed and carried on with her work. When it was my turn I completed my transaction and then went back to my car and collected the remaining parcels which were smaller. This time I joined the queue, I then arrived at the counter as it was my turn, the same girl then said I had to wait and started processing customers behind me as apparently the shop takes priority over parcels. At this point I’m in total disbelieve at the rudeness and arrogance of this store staff, as were the other customers in the shop, who were whispering to me about her behaviour. Hopefully another store will tender for the Royal Mail contract for this area as I currently drive to Padiham to send my parcels to avoid this store, but sometimes if times limited I do have to use them. Customer service is none existence and staff behaviour in a way to create confrontation. Toxic place, unpleasant experience, if you can just totally avoid and complain to Royal Mail about bad experiences, if enough received I’m sure Royal Mail may listen and put out a tender again for a nicer shop to take over the processing of their mail.
