"I am extremely disappointed by the way I was treated during my visit to this post office at approximately2.30 pm on Sunday 26.8.26..afternoon. I went there to get change for work. Before entering the branch, I withdrew 40 pounds from the cash machine directly outside the post office, and I have the receipt to prove it. When I asked for 40 pounds in coins, I was told they could only provide 20, which I accepted without any argument. I genuinely believed I had already handed over the full40. When the staff member said I had only given him 20, I remained calm and politely suggested checking the CCTV. At the same time, I said I would quickly check my pocket in case I had made a mistake. I immediately found the missing 20-pound note, apologized, and explained that I had simply forgotten it was still in my pocket. Instead of accepting that it was an honest mistake, the staff member suddenly became aggressive. He shouted at me, threatened to call the police, and spoke to me as though I were a criminal. This happened in front of other customers, which was extremely embarrassing, humiliating, and completely unnecessary. Being publicly treated like a thief over an honest20-pound mistake was deeply upsetting. What makes this even more disappointing is that I am not a stranger to this branch. I regularly use this post office for my business banking and have always dealt with the staff honestly and respectfully,In fact, just last week I deposited over1,160 pounds in cash through this branch, and I can prove this with my bank statement. I have trusted this post office with my business for a long time. To be publicly accused and humiliated over an honest mistake was completely unacceptable. In my opinion, the staff member's behaviour was aggressive, intimidating, and completely unprofessional. I hope the owner or branch manager reviews the CCTV footage, looks into this incident, and ensures that no other customer is treated with the same disrespect and humiliation. what makes this even harder to understand is that the issue had already been resolved. When I found the missing20-pound note I told him immediately, there was no loss and no dispute. Instead of acknowledging it had been a simple mistake and handling it professionally, the situation was escalated with shouting and threats to call the police. I find it upsetting to still be treated as though I had done something wrong when the misunderstanding had already been completely cleared up..
