15 people in the queue on a Wednesday afternoon, and there is only 1 person dealing with the service. Extremely slow and frustrating that what should be an in and out task it takes 40 minutes.

Absolutely disgusting customer service and honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a shop. I went into the Ryman Postoffice branch on 15/01/2025 at around 09:22 to send a parcel. No one was at the counter, then when a staff member finally appeared she ignored me completely even though I spoke politely and said hello. I asked what time they opened and said I wanted to send a parcel; I was ignored. I said it again …..ignored again. She acted as if I didn’t exist as if I wasn’t even in front of her.
When was about to walk off that’s when she was ready to speak to me, I quite rightly challenged how rude and disrespectful that was and asked to speak to the manager, Kim came out and instead of acting professionally or listening, she was rude, aggressive and started shouting at me to leave the shop. I left of my own accord, but I was absolutely furious and shocked at the way I was spoken to. I went back to ask for their names, the manager (Kim) shockingly rude again. Told me ‘her customer’ said I was rude. Funny that, the only part your customer see if when I challenged your staff about how rude she was to me. So maybe come and talk to me or better yet go back and watch the CCTV. Because you’ll see why I challenged your staff.
And honestly…. if the manager behaves like that, it’s no wonder the staff do too. That explains everything. Based on the current reviews it’s clear this isn’t a one-off — it seems to be the standard. If you value being treated with even basic respect, avoid this branch.

visited the post office to have a grant of probate and a will certified, to send documents to the legislation office, and to change currency. Having read some of the reviews beforehand, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but my experience was very positive. Pat, the clerk who helped me, was absolutely wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble, and she spent around half an hour with me making sure everything was done correctly. She was thorough, professional, and incredibly helpful and informative, which made what could have been a stressful visit much easier.
Thank you, Pat, for your excellent service and kindness — it was very much
