- MDMark DoyleJun 25, 20261.0Be very careful if you want foreign currency from this post office.Today I got a very dismal rate of just 1.0400 euro to the pound. After the rude young lady with an attitude took the money from my card and issued me with the exchange rate receipt I queried why the rate was so low and asked if this was the standard post office rate, she confirmed that it was. When I got home, which is 5 minutes away, I checked post office rates and found they were approx 1.10 - 1.13 for todays rate, approx 10% better. I went back to the post office to question the poor rate and she said that is the counter rate and I should have ordered online for a better rate and should not have accepted the rate at the time. When I reminded her that I did question the rate at which point she had the opportunity to offer me to cancel transaction she had no reply. I now asked her to cancel the transaction and she refused on the basis that these notes could now be fake, honestly? With that mindset they would never take any cash at all? It is no surprise to see all of the bad reviews below and I will never use this shop again for anything under the current management.
