I arrived at this post office to post an important letter and joined the queue at 16.59. The smug, rude jobsworth behind the counter said ‘it’s closed, 5 o clock’. Now, it may have ticked over to 5 o clock and 30 seconds while he was serving the person in front of me in the queue but that’s no reason to refuse to do your job. If you want to close early, that’s up to you, but you cannot do that while claiming to be part of the UK Post Office network. These people should be struck off. I was going to make a point of supporting a local business by buying some of the overpriced goods from his shop. Now I’ll be doing the reverse: boycotting these lazy, rude, arrogant people and celebrating when their business fails as it surely will given the way they treat people who try to give them money.
