- HHHayley HussonApr 27, 20251.0Came to pick up my parcel from post office - yes it’s a given I didn’t have my driving licence on me and I asked do you need to compare my address to the parcels address because it wouldn’t match - she stated “no I just need a picture id to compare the name to the parcel. I said “would my NHS ID card suffice as it has my full name and my picture” she said “ no not really but ill accept it this once because i can’t deal with the huffing and puffing “ I merely sighed at the fact it was possible I may not get my parcel (which as every human does when sometimes you think I wish I had just brought my id and it wouldn’t have been an inconvenience) she spoke to me like I was a piece of poo at the bottom of a shoe. I said to her that she was not giving very good customer service and pointed out she was being rude especially in front of my children . I also tried to justify I wasn’t huffing and puffing - she then proceeded to walk off to go get the parcel and raised her voice for the whole shop to hear and said “ well technically I can refuse and not even give you your parcel!” I simply replied “ I have not been rude nor shouted at you, so why would you refuse my parcel when you’re the one shouting and being rude at me for no reason” My experience in this shop was very appalling and the woman had a serious attitude problem. Maybe a way forward for her to progress is to have some extra training in customer service. It was absolutely shocking!

When I asked to pick it up, I was told by a worker that the post office was "closed" and to return in 2 hours (when I would no longer be available), despite there being a woman collecting a package right next to me at a different till. This has not been my first problem with this post office - I would not recommend it to anyone.
