- JJJulie JohnsonJan 6, 20221.0If I could put 0 stars here I would. Absolutely dreadful experience. I don’t wear a mask for medical reasons. After almost 2 years in a pandemic surely there should be a level of etiquette, courtesy & common sense when querying why somebody doesn’t have a mask on especially when queried by a masked post office clerk behind a Perspex screen. I maintained social distance throughout the queuing process and simply wanted to return 2 parcels. After a good dressing down by said clerk, many hostile questions and being told not to come back without a mask even after explaining that I don’t wear one and saying very calmly and quietly that I prefer not to disclose my medical reasons for not wearing a mask in a busy grocery store the clerk went on further to involve a non post office customer who freely started telling me about her sons medical conditions and why I should wear a mask etc and why my lanyard should be displayed in full view. When I said I felt this was all very unreasonable I was called aggressive. A term thrown around very loosely by “Karens” towards black women who are simply holding their ground and calmly defending themselves. Alongside this review I will be filing a complaint siting discrimination against those with medical exemptions and hidden disabilities. I didn’t get to post my parcels and cried when I left from frustration and what I can only describe as bullying from power crazed lunatics. Shocking and unkind to say the least. Compassion, kindness and empathy are lacking in society.
