There are a lot of negative reviews here, and I understand where some of the frustration comes from. This post office serves a large area, handles drop‑offs and collections for multiple postal providers, and often has only one staff member working within what is essentially a small convenience store. At busy times, queues are inevitable, and when strict postage or ID rules have to be followed, it can feel inconvenient. In those moments, it’s easy to interpret the situation as the staff being rude, even when they’re simply doing their job.
I’ve experienced the long lines and the occasional delays, but I’ve also visited when everything was quick, calm, and perfectly straightforward. None of these fluctuations are the fault of the staff. When you take the time to speak to them kindly, show a bit of patience, and acknowledge the pressure they’re under, they respond with the same friendliness in return. They are human after all.
For that reason, I don’t think the negativity is warranted. Much of it seems to come from people directing their own frustrations at the staff or the location rather than recognising the realities of a very busy service point.
Thank you to the staff here for the help and service I’ve received. And putting up with some of us inconsiderate members of public.

Post office workers extremely rude and unhelpful. I never seen this lady with red hair and glass being friendly and helpful. The way she talks to people has no manners. When you recruit people to serve they should check their abilities she has none of it

Was dreading visiting after reading all the negative reviews. But went in on a Sunday, there was no queue, and they were very helpful, polite and friendly. Could not fault the service.

If they could be consistent about where you are supposed to take Amazon returns it would be a help instead of dlup-flopping between tills and post office. It would also help if the sign they put up clearly mentioned 'Amazon Returns' instead of just pick up and drop off. Also have to say most of the staff who have served me in there are not exactly cheerful and welcoming.

shows on Amazon and Google as open to 9pm. I arrived to be told Amazon desk has closed at 7 because they were busy. No apology
