Several times I've come to use the post office during official opening hours, and I've been asked to wait ten or twenty minutes... I don't really understand, as whenever I've worked in shops I was always told to drop all my tasks as soon as a customer needed serving. One time I said I really had to send it quickly as I had somewhere to be, and they then decided they could serve me there and then, so I don't understand why they asked me to wait in the first place if someone was available and it was technically open. There was no queue.
The staff are friendly and kind, just quite inefficient.
