This post office is consistently closed during lunch hours, which is extremely inconvenient for customers who can only visit on their own lunch breaks. On several occasions, staff have been present in the shop but the counter has remained closed. It would greatly improve customer service if more staff were trained to cover the post office counter during peak times so it doesn’t need to shut completely. Very frustrating.

Should never have been allowed a post office service
Terrible service with only one member of staff at any one time trying to do 2 jobs at once (not the staff members fault - just a company penny pinching and not concerned about staff security and wellbeing)
Think about the security with only one on duty. Really not safe for the staff member

I received an email that my parcel had been delivered and was ready to collect. I waited in a very long queue while the only member of staff dealt with the post office delivery person. I showed my email and my photo id and was told after all the parcels had been searched through that my parcel was not there and there was nothing they could do and they didn’t get a delivery at the time my email had been sent so the email wasn’t correct. I left without any clue where my package of medication that I urgently needed was & by this time the queue was snaking out of the door around the cages of goods that had no staff to put on the shelves. This had taken 20 minutes.
I used the tracking app when I got home which showed my package was delivered to the Parsonage Barn Lane store and signed for by the staff member serving me BUT it was later available for collection in Verwood! I hope they have it in Verwood and they don’t send it somewhere else. Heading there for opening time tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
Because of this experience I am no longer going to order my medication online.
