When she accepted the letter, she did not mention that the address format was not in line with the guidelines. However, due to Royal Mail’s policies, the letter was returned. When I asked about this, she and the person managing the business (a man) responded in a very rude manner. He shouted at me, saying, “I’m the boss here. We are not taking your letter back again. Whatever you need to do, you can contact Royal Mail.” My main concern was that if the address format was incorrect, it should have been pointed out and corrected when the letter was accepted, to avoid wasting time and money. Overall, I found the staff to be unprofessional and rude towards customers. The post office management should look into this matter.

She was rude and dismissive and tried to start a argument of some kind. Hopefully this can change as it has left feeling quite victimised.

To deposit a cheque, you’ll need to bring the following to your nearest branch:

*A cheque deposit envelope for your bank (these are available from your own bank or the majority are stocked in Post Office branches)
