With over 11,500 branches the Post Office is the biggest UK retail network, with more branches than all banks and building societies combined. The Post Office provides services central to peoples’ everyday lives; We offer the UK’s largest fee free cash withdrawal network through our 11,500 branches and over 2000 ATMs and 99% of UK bank customers can access their accounts at the Post Office. We provide financial services including savings, insurance, loans, mortgages and credit cards; Government services; telephony; foreign currency; travel insurance and mail services. Post Offices branches remain highly valued and trusted, and are the focal point of many communities.
Of course any service can always be improved, and contrary to the somewhat negative opinions posted, which seems to be the case, people only post when they wish to criticize apparently.
For three years, I have had a relatively good service from this Post Office. Sure they close for lunch, for an hour, cos they are understaffed. But that is understandable, for a small town, and the number of service requests handled. Also there is not much space for multiple counters, to add a 2nd person at the back of the post office, even if they wanted to increase the staffing.
Contrary to the negative reports, I have not had any incident of rudeness or inappropriate behaviour from anyone serving me at the Post Office,. rather they go the extra mile to be helpful. We post letters, they are helpful. Really helpful.

Was waiting ages to be served, only person serving was behind shop till. I asked for the PO and he eventually went to check and I was told to wait and the peril come to serve. Older gentleman came eventually as others were waiting behind me. He couldn’t even-say hello or anything, rather rude compared to other counter staff

Website says Post Office is open from 8am, it’s not. Might want to update your website.

One star for Mary at the post office door,
If rudeness were stamps, she’d have millions or more.
A sigh and a huff before you say hello,
Like kindness got lost in the mail long ago.
She slaps down the parcels, she rolls both her eyes,
Answers each question with groans and with sighs.
You ask for a stamp and she looks half appalled,
As if simple manners were never installed.
The queue shuffles forward, all quiet with dread,
While Mary just scowls from behind the glass shed.
No smile, no warmth, not a glimmer of cheer,
Just Mary reminding us why we’re still here.
So here’s my review, short, simple and clear:
One star for the service we get over here.
The post may arrive, but goodwill’s very thin—
Perhaps Mary’s manners got lost in the bin.

Worst customer service you can imagine, older Indian guy can't even be bothered to lift his head and answer simple questions from people. Saw me and two others stand by the post office till for 20 minutes and then shouted over it's closed due to no staff. Will never return here and will also be putting a formal complaint into Post Office Ltd
