- LBLachesis Braick5 days ago1.0The worst post office I have ever been too. The older woman with straight hair who works there is just awful: rude to people, makes you wait and then refuses service, refuses to accept your letter unless you pay for the more expensive service. This is an awful place.

I’ve now had multiple experiences here — years apart, with different staff — where I’ve asked for a standard postage service and been repeatedly quoted for far more expensive options instead. Today I asked for First Class Signed For. I was first quoted for next-day delivery, then for a guaranteed 48-hour service. Both times I had to correct the staff member and repeat what I’d actually asked for. Only after pushing back several times was I finally given the correct price. I send packages regularly, so I know roughly what these services cost. The difference between what I requested and what I was being quoted was more than £10 compared to around £7. It may not sound like a huge difference on one parcel, but if this is happening regularly with multiple customers each day, they’ll be making a significant amount of extra money from it. Judging by other reviews mentioning similar experiences, this obviously isn’t an isolated issue. I took my parcel elsewhere in the end and won’t be returning.
