This place should be shut down. I made a polite request for my personal details on a parcel label to be scribbled out, and the old man began shouting and cussing at me aggressively in front of a full shop.
I stayed calm throughout and tried to de-escalate the situation, but he continued yelling over me and humiliating me in front of other customers, who looked visibly shocked. As a woman, being screamed at aggressively by a grown man left me shaken and in tears.
If you can’t work in a customer service role - quit. It’s not hard to scan parcels for a living, you should be grateful you have any customers left.

I am disappointed by the service at the Post Office counter. And now feel like kicking myself.
I wanted a letter sent tracked and signed for. Was told it would be £9.95., so I paid up. I thought it was expensive, but I did not know the current prices.
The man behind the counter then said that I’d written the address and not left enough room for him to stick the stamp and tracking barcode. My reply was that the Post Office could use smaller stamps. I left it at that. He managed to find the space to stick the stamp on.
Having paid and got my receipt, the man asked me to close the door on the way out (it had been open when I entered and so I had missed the sign please close the door after you). The request came across as though he thought I had left it open.
Anyway, I got home and was having a nagging feeling and decided to see what the prices are.
It seems I could have been offered:
Royal Mail Signed For 1st/2nd Class: Provides tracking upon delivery confirmation. Ist Class Signed For for Large Letters (up to 100g) is around £3.80.
My letter weighed 20g!
Clearly it would have been better for me to have paid online (see attached image).
I would recommend ensuring to ask clearly for the cheapest service that provides what you need rather than leaving it to the staff to decide what service you need.
