- JSJIM S69Dec 24, 20191.0Appallingly rude staff, my worst experience in my 60+ years. I ordered a parcel through Amazon, for a friend, to be collected by them a few weeks ago from the Post Office. My friend was told that the shop is not an agency for Amazon, and that goods should not be ordered through Amazon, for collection from Bishops Cleeve Post Office, my friend pointed out that they were not responsible for the order and were simply collecting it as advised by me. I did not doubt my friend, but found it hard to believe and phoned Amazon who confirmed that this Post Office was still an agent for collection of parcels from Amazon. This week I ordered goods from Amazon for myself to collected from the Post Office on Monday 23 December. When I collected the goods, I was given a severe dressing down by a grey haired lady at the post office counter who reprimanded me because Amazon had used the "wrong delivery method, ie a courier and did not have paperwork that the staff were used to" I pointed that I merely ordered goods from a supplier - Amazon, and that it was up to Amazon, not me, to decide the delivery method, for which they wished to pay and to use to get goods to the collection point, NOT ME . I also politely, ointed out that if it was such an inconvenience for the staff of Bishops Cleeve Post Office to act as agents for Amazon, they could withdraw from the contract.
