Firstly I don't blame the staff completely, The post office has long since transferred its responsibility to numpties who are probably on minimum wage and being asked to load shelves, man the till, run a stock take, run the shop, AND then run a post office. Having said that Berkeley post office reflects the NATIONAL lack of competence and service on every level in this country. today (12-4-2024 TWO queues of ten people (20 IN ALL) stood waiting to be served. One young female kid desperately tried to serve at the post office , but even one customer took over ten minutes being served before I gave up and left. As I say, I don't blame the semi skilled scruffy, and very terse staff, so much as the successive governments in our country. The U.K. is simply an embarrasment now regarding basic service on every level , not just this pretend post office which is obviously undermanned, underskilled, and over tasked. No wonder they all scowl at you and never smile!
