Really disappointing experience. I came in today at around 5:50pm to collect a parcel that DPD tracking had confirmed was delivered to this location at 1:20pm. The member of staff I dealt with, who had blonde hair, was incredibly dismissive and unhelpful throughout the entire interaction.
I was initially told I would have to wait 10 minutes, which I completely understood, but there was no apology or explanation as to why. I waited patiently, only to be repeatedly told to come back while staff continued talking amongst themselves. When they eventually attempted to locate my parcel, they barely seemed interested in helping and, despite me showing clear proof of delivery, I was simply told that they couldn’t find it and that I would have to come back on Monday??? Even though it was already delivered? Today on Saturday…
What frustrated me most was the complete lack of customer service, empathy or even basic courtesy. There was no apology, no reassurance and absolutely no effort to resolve the situation. I was made to feel like an inconvenience for simply trying to collect a parcel that had been confirmed as delivered.
I now have to rearrange my plans to try and collect this parcel, which needs to be picked up by Friday. I appreciate that staff may be busy and that mistakes can happen, but the way this situation was handled was completely unacceptable. A little bit of communication, understanding and basic customer service would have made a huge difference. Very disappointing experience.

Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?
If you’ve registered for the Change Giving service, you shouldn’t be refused change at your nominated Post Office branch.
You may have been refused if you’re not signed up to this service. If you’d like to do so, contact your bank directly to find out whether they offer the service and how to sign up.
If you’ve signed up but aren’t using your nominated branch, it’s at that branch’s discretion whether they have enough change available to fulfil your request.
