I was incorrectly told my Royal Mail International Tracked parcel could not be sent due to a supposed weight limit. I was told my postage was invalid which caused unnecessary delay and confusion.
I double checked the service rules online and booked a Royal Mail home collection for the next day using the same parcel and label. It was collected and delivered to Canada with no issues.
Hopefully staff training can be improved to avoid situations like this in future for other customers. I will not be returning.

Not very friendly member of staff
I’ve not normally had any issues using this post office, but today I was dropping a packet off for collection by Amazon, the member of staff a large Hyacinth Bouquet type, ask to scan the QR code, I held my phone up to the glass so the code could be scanned, but it wouldn’t work, so I passed my phone under the security screen for her to scan, at which she exclaimed that there was likely more germs on my phone than a toilet seat! I was a little taken aback by the comment, and I thought about the job of somebody doing a job like that handling the dirtiest thing there is cash.
I would have simply scanned the phone and used hand sanitizer if I were so concerned about germs not making me feel like a leper!

Only ever called at this post office 6 times I think as I live out of town . 5 times it was closed ! Twice with a written note on the front door stating staff illness?
Another time blaming the weather and the fourth times saying systems are down and the 5th time it was just closed (was 4.55 on a Friday !)
Is this many to be the main post office in the town? Shocking how many times it’s just closed I never have this issue where I live
Not a good representation for the post office at all!
UPDATE:I HAVE JUST CALLED THERE TO DROP SOME LATE XMAS CARDS OFF 3PM ON 23/12/25 AND THEY ARE AGAIN CLOSED!

Distracted member of staff who didn't seem to give a hoot about their contact with a customer. Very dismissive in their approach.
