I attended for a Basic DBS identity check and brought an official PDF utility statement downloaded directly from the provider, which has been accepted for previous DBS checks many times before. This is the first time I’ve ever had an issue. I even offered to show the staff member the document being downloaded live from the utility company’s app to prove it was genuine, but they still refused to accept it. The whole process felt inconsistent and unnecessarily difficult. I understand staff have procedures to follow, but the guidance clearly isn’t being applied consistently between branches. Wasted journey and very frustrating experience.

As you can imagine, it’s usually a rush for me to get there before the cut-off time, and it can be quite hectic. Today, I was served by Varsha, and I just wanted to highlight how consistently patient and understanding she is. Despite the pressure and the number of parcels I bring in, she always remains calm, efficient, and incredibly helpful. It really makes a difference when you’re dealing with tight deadlines. It’s a shame not all of the staff provide the same level of service, as I have been served rudely by other members of the team in the past. That said, experiences like today’s are a great reminder of how positive and smooth things can be. Great service like this keeps me coming back—thank you, Varsha!
