I visited this Post Office today (Saturday) around 11:30am.
I spent over an hour completing important documents that needed to be posted urgently, because I cannot do this on Monday.
When the Royal Mail van arrived, the staff told me to hurry up because the collection was happening. I closed the envelopes immediately.
Everything was ready.
When I kindly asked them to include my letters, they simply refused, without any explanation or alternative. Maybe there are procedures that don’t allow adding letters once the bag is closed.
I understand that.
But a Post Office should at least communicate clearly and support customers with guidance, especially when someone has been there for over an hour, and especially on a Saturday when the next chance is days away.
Instead, the attitude I received was pure indifference.
In my opinion, the problem here wasn’t the rule.
It was the complete lack of communication, empathy and professionalism.

Service is appalling. First counter said they can only pay in 5 Scottish notes into my acc then another staff walks over and changes the policy there and then saying he will only accept 2. When I spoke to the central office they said I can pay in up-to £1000. They don’t know what they’re doing and lack communication. Shouldn’t be working in customer service
