The worst service imaginable. I don’t know why that Indian lady works there she’s honestly the rudest employee I’ve ever met in the UK. It feels like she hates both her job and people, so why is she even working in customer service??? Honestly, an absolute disaster! And this is the main post office in Basildon!

Shocking service. Avoid at all costs, and go elsewhere. All I needed was to return a parcel via Evri on a busy Saturday. Stood in line for at least 15 minutes with just two staff on the counter. Staff was unable to scan my code then my code timed out and you can’t get internet in the store. Wasted journey and went elsewhere. Stated to staff service is ridiculous and left.

Joined the queue to cash a lottery ticket, and assistant asked if I needed any help while I was in the line. I informed her and she didn't batter an eyelid. Once I got to an actual till I was informed that the Post Office didn't cash tickets, even though the Lottery Website said it did and the assistant never mentioned otherwise!

A very Bizaare place. If visiting expect things not to go the way you might think. Its almost worth a visit to write a review on here, which I recommend, as it would be interesting to see how many other people have similar stories. Todays: 1. Head to the self check out machines to send a letter. 2. Select 2nd class signed. The machine requires you to scan a provided 2nd class label. No labels available. Unable to make the £2.77 purchase. 3.Hit back on the display and select 1st class signed. Scan a label on the role, and realise I do not know which label was scanned, my fault and decide to go to the counter. 4. Ask the lady for a signed 2nd class service for the letter. 5. Cost will be £9.50 for 1st class recorded + all the trimmings. 6. Ask the lady for a signed 2nd class service for the letter. 7. Cost will be £5 for 2nd class recorded + less trimmings. 8. Ask the lady for a signed 2nd class service for the letter 9. Cost will be £4.50 for 1st signed 10. Ask the lady for a signed 2nd class service for the letter 11. Cost will be £3.70 for 2nd signed 12. Asked why the price on her computer is different to the price on the self check out. 13. I can't remember the answer. 14. Asked for a role of 2nd class signed for labels so I can use the self checkout. 15. None available, the service has apparently been with drawn. 16. Explained that it is clearly available on the self checkout. 17. The lady then accepts that I can get 2nd class signed price of £2.77 18. n.b. I was not asked whether I wanted travel insurance . 19. Got to feel sorry for the staff, but its still bizaare.
