This can mean long waits, which is frustrating, especially at peak times. The staff themselves are doing their best, but the branch would benefit from more people on duty to manage demand better.
- NBNoor BSep 13, 20261.0Went to the post office with my two boys; they both went to the shopping section one is 6 and one is 11 both boys are sensible and we’re looking at the toys however, the shop keeper was very rude to both boys and said in a furious tone “ get back to your parents” with a glare! to which the boys left the toys and came to me. I totally get unruly children in a shop however, my two were behaving and if they wanted to buy purchase an item I would have happily purchased it. The tone, the manner of the man was appalling and the boys after the leaving the shop wanted to return back and inform him that is not how you communicate to customers.
- RGRoss GuardSep 12, 20262.0Simply poorly run and organised. You now have to queue up at two different counters when posting royal mail and evri. Not because they need to be processed separately but because the staff are not competent enough to tell the difference and put the right parcels in the right courier container. So if you are posting several parcels from different couriers you have to queue twice to post your parcels. Today when I got near the front of the queue one of the staff said if I already have labels on my parcels I could go to the other counter, I'm assuming so I could be served quicker. I then stood behind another customer at the other counter and watched all the people that were behind me in the other queue be served before I was. When I said to the person who finally served me that it was ridiculous, he didn't apologise he simply said it's not ridiculous, we are busy. Honestly some of the staff are rude and not understanding at all. If this wasn't the closest post office to me I wouldn't use it.

While waiting, I noticed some customers went directly to another counter and were served without waiting in the queue. When I also approached that counter, I was told to go back and wait in the queue. I understand that there may be different procedures for different counters, but it felt unfair and inconsistent when other customers were being served without waiting while I was asked to remain in the queue. The staff should make the queuing system clear and apply it consistently to everyone. May be they only love to serve the British people. They don’t like Asian people.
