Alarm bells should be going off with the amount of bad reviews and the owner should take note.
Absolutely appalling experience with Chanterlands Avenue Post Office. My parcel containing medical supplies was held there for days while the branch remained closed due to a “technical issue”. No updates, no proper communication, and no attempt to help customers retrieve their own property. Staff were inside at one point yet refused to come to the door to explain what was happening or what people were supposed to do.
Because of the delay and total lack of information, I had to order replacement medical supplies elsewhere at additional cost. By the time this parcel eventually becomes available, the contents are practically useless to me anyway.
The most frustrating part was the complete absence of care or accountability. Customers were simply left standing outside with no guidance while the branch stayed shut. A technical problem is understandable. Treating customers like they don’t exist is not.
I have made a formal complaint. I hope others have also.
Genuinely one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had.

Very rude and abrupt man behind the counter, no manners at all. Doesnt say please or thank you. He also tells you everything needs to go on special delivery. !!! It should be the customers choice and what they can afford.

Well, the chap serving behind the counter had quite the attitude! Id already heard how he was speaking to other people, as I had been waiting in a lengthy queue before it was my turn. It almost seemed we were inconveniencing him by being there and using the services of the post office.
So, he told me to basically take all the outer packaging from the box of trainers I was returning, and just give him the box. Didn't think much about it and he took to typing away on the computer to print the label and log the return. However, he had strangely taken the new trainers out of the box, and placed them in another brown bag. He disposed of the box the trainers came in.
I didn't like this as due to the value of the trainers, and the fact they were brand new, I thought amazon might not be happy having a loose pair of trainers placed in a bag with no original box. I questioned him on why he had literally reversed what packaging I had done, and he said something about "this is how it's supposed to be", whatever that meant.
I typically use the post office/RM as a courier for the returns with Amazon, and have recently returned a few items over the last few weeks but at different post offices, and without any issue or similar process he went through.
It seems reading the other reviews that folks have left, that others have shared a similar experience to mine. His communication was kept to a bare minimum of which he just mainly pointed and said three words. That along with a terrible attitude!
Maybe he hates his job, who knows, but I think it's safe to say that I won't be returning!

To be stood infront of me dropping my parcels on the floor and hearing them crash isnt good service. Where is the care in this job its a post office for deliveries and my business is getting so many complaints of products not arriving in the best care, and im the one who's having to pay from my money your laziness.
I think its time for you to look for a more joyful job or a job with no human contact.
