Has become horrible since privatisation. Run down, stuffy, short staffed, longer queues. Empty post office branded shelves that nobody has bothered to remove. Cheap non branded products thrown around the place, boxes piling up everywhere. There is a general vibe of neglect and cheapness. Used to be quite nice to go in, it’s a shame.

Since the branch was franchised, service is terrible as it’s not well enough staffed - particularly at lunch times when that’s often the only time of day people have to post things. Long queues at times, which is frustrating particularly when you only want a stamp. Please at a bear minimum cover staff lunches and install a stamp vending machine. Huge loss for the community in terms of the service we had.

on the basis of today's experience, not happy. took an Amazon pick-up email to collect parcel, no barcode or number on it, so server said he couldn't give me the parcel. when i got home and looked closely at the email (something the server clearly didn't do) i saw that all that was required was ID to match name on parcel. how is it that the server couldn't have figured this out and saved me inconvenience/wasted time (also for the other people waiting)? i doubt this would have happened under previous ownership, when the employees seemed to know what they were doing.
also 0 stars for lack of response to any of the negative reviews posted here, suggesting they dgaf.

A lively busy post office but staff are always friendly and make an effort to explain everything. Even on busy days Emily is friendly, polite and efficient.
