- JJJSep 6, 20261.0Very rude and arrogant attitude from the staff. I politely asked to send a parcel and I was barely acknowledged and she practically threw the receipt at me. Not the first time either. Every time I come here it feels like a simple request is a major inconvenience and burden regardless of how empty the place is.
- SSScottAug 26, 20261.0Absolutely useless, can't even post a driving license renewal without giving the wrong advice. They're also really rude. Go to the one in Spennymoor instead
- SSStefanJul 18, 20261.0Main city post office, shut at 1pm on a Saturday. Make it make sense.
- AAAndrewJun 29, 20261.0Glacial pace in terms of service. Never been in and not been part of a queue. You can't even get stationery from the post office and need to pay the extortionate fees of the shop above. Awful
- NLNakarin LohitsiriMar 2, 20231.0No counter services in the morning. I came here a couple of weeks ago at about 9:30 and the staff overseeing the self-service told me the counter service would open at 10 that day. I was in a rush and didn’t wait. Today I went there at 10:30, and again there was no counter service. This time, the staff told me the service starts at 12! Unbelievable…
Frequently Asked Questions About Durham Post Office

The amount you can withdraw in a Post Office branch will depend on any withdrawal limits in place on the specific account you hold with your bank. If you’re unsure, please contact your bank directly to check.
Do I get charged for making cash withdrawals at Post Office?
No charges are taken at the counter however some banks may charge.
For details, please check directly with your own bank.
How do I deposit a cheque at Post Office?
To deposit a cheque, you’ll need to bring the following to your nearest branch:
*The cheque

Simply hand over your sealed cheque deposit envelope to the Post Office who will provide you with a receipt for your cheque deposit envelope.
Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?
If you’ve registered for the Change Giving service, you shouldn’t be refused change at your nominated Post Office branch.
You may have been refused if you’re not signed up to this service. If you’d like to do so, contact your bank directly to find out whether they offer the service and how to sign up.
If you’ve signed up but aren’t using your nominated branch, it’s at that branch’s discretion whether they have enough change available to fulfil your request.
