- CBChris BrownDec 3, 20241.0Drove out of my way to visit the Post Office. Refused to take my special delivery package, because it had 1st class Christmas stamps on, they said that only barcoded stamps are valid. Asked to speak to manager and he agreed, I asked them to contact their area manager and they refused. COMMERATIVE STAMPS ARE STILL VALID, AND CAN BE USED. Only definitive stamps are not valid, these have to be traded in, via the Royal Mail swap out service. Check the royal mail website, and speak to your area manager. I send over 20 special deliveries per week so am aware how to post them correctly. I have put an official complaint into Post Office Counters. UPDATE ON THE ABOVE. COMPLAINT WAS UPHELD AND APOLOGY RECEIVED, PLUS A £10 VOUCHER FROM POST OFFICE COUNTERS. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL LEARN FROM THIS.
