Now that the Post Office has moved from Saxon Square and apparently changed ownership, to Premier, Church Street the young lady that served me was extremely helpful! And after the previous terrible experiences at Saxon Square. She was a ray of sunshine!

The Post Office has moved so most photos on the web are out of date. It is now inside the Premier shop on the corner of Wick Lane.

Today I had a very upsetting experience at this branch.
During a cash deposit, the staff member repeatedly counted my small deposit (approximately 5–6 times prior to and continued repeatedly during the deposit process) despite there being no discrepancy in count. Each note was inspected multiple times and a £10 note was declined due to a small corner piece missing, all details of the note unaffected, otherwise crisp.
When I respectfully asked for details regarding their data controller in order to make a formal request, I was accused of “causing a drama” and was threatened with the police for harassment. At no point was I aggressive or disruptive.
As someone with physical and emotional health challenges, this interaction had a significant impact on me. I found the tone and escalation completely unnecessary and distressing.
I will be raising this matter through the appropriate formal channels.

Honestly the most awful post office ever. The 1st time in here. Empty shop with peoples packages on shelves in full view of everyone. Why are they not stored securely? There were 3 customers and the staff were so slow. Waiting patiently the gent in front asked to change a £10 note into 2 £5. He was refused and his reply,”I thought this was a post office.”
I picked up 2 medium jiffy envelopes @. £2.75 each, no thanks!

I went into this post office to pay some of my credit card off with cash, it explicitly says online this is an option for paying. As soon as I asked the foreign lady denied this being possible, after some insistence she "tried" to do it. I put my card in, she pressed a button and it immediately said remove card, then she told me it won’t work. Incredibly blunt/rude staff, very unhelpful on several occasions in the past, they usually claim they can’t do things that all other post offices will do with a smile. Avoid and go elsewhere.
