It is obvious that whoever employs them is keeping staff to a minimum, usually one member of staff covering the shop, the pumps and the PO. They do this admirably and with good humour. Crackmore is not a main PO so does not cover everything a main PO does e.g. Driving Licences. I live in Milborne Port and use Crackmore all the time. I take my hat off to the staff who get 5 stars but the PO as a whole gets 4.

Just recently moved to this community I expected service to be so much more pleasant, more welcoming and kinder after all this is a small community and as a business owner you would want to retain every customer there is, sadly this was not the case the two times I had the pleasure (or not) to be visiting premises and I will be in the future travelling further to next available post office to be mailing my letters and parcels given half the chance. I first visited the shop/post office/petrol station couple of weeks ago to see what essentials they are selling and unfortunately half of the shelfs are empty with very little products available in general, the atmosphere was cold and unwelcoming perfectly matching the temperature in the premises, I didnt buy anything but was looking for directions to nearby shops and since shop assistant (same person serving on both visits) had not used local bus she was completely unaware what local buses pass, when and how you pay for them, you know when you think someone would be nice and friendly when you tell them you have just moved to the area? Well for sure I didnt get it here, I brushed it off as a bad day for her. On the second occasion I visited the place was to post something, there is absolutely not a gram of kindness and making your customers feeling welcome in this place. I had to tape up my parcel actually on the floor because there isnt a table or counter to do that like you would expect post office to have, shop assistant saw me do just that and didnt offer help either. The service itself is just really below the standards no matter a small village or big city that you could be from, so yes.. Two generous stars from me but would not return nor would I recommend it for anyone
