Went in to renew my passport using their Photo Booth and PO send service, I didn’t realise that you now have to remove your glasses for the photo to be accepted, this wasn’t obviously clear (and seems bizarre as I have worn glasses my whole life) the PO assistant flatly refused to accept the photos that I had just paid ten pounds for and I was rudely informed the machine was nothing to do with her, I went to the main part of the shop and was told I would have to pay another ten pounds for any further photos. Both staff members (PO and front of shop) were extremely unpleasant, obstructive and unhelpful, I subsequently went to Max Spielmann in Asda who were able to order my passport with no fuss and were first rate.
(Incidentally when I first approached the post office woman who served me she loudly complained to me about her previous customer who had ordered US dollars and apparently they had turned her fingers green!) I wonder if someone so obviously unpleasant who also moans about previous customers should work in a public facing role.

Main back post office is great…. But you sometimes get taken to the front shop by their staff, I was directed there the other day, the person behind the counter then served the shop customers, he said local customers come first, really??? Then don’t offer a post office service there, diabolical service, the staff are only interested in serving customers who want vapes and cigarettes
